Challange
To covered R5 million worth of FREE Samsung TV’s IF South Africa WON the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Solution
This was a part funded campaign between Samsung and Takealot.com. Samsung took out the risk and Takealot.com took the risk themselves.
Results
South Africa won the Rugby World Cup and Halo paid out R5 million to cover Samsung’s portion of the TV costs, while Takealot.com had to cover the remaining R5million themselves.
But the big win for Samsung was their Fixed Fee was only R3 million.

Challenge
Samsung wanted to leverage their 2024 Olympics sponsorship.
Solution
To do this they ran the promotion ‘Back Team Mzansi’ where consumers who purchased a participating Samsung product during the campaign period and registered their purchase on the dedicated web page stood a chance to win 1 of 100 R10 000 Samsung.com voucher. If South Africa got 8 medals or more during the Olympic Games.
Result
South Africa only won 6 medals; however, Samsung were protected should they have achieved the required 8 medals.
